Would love to try to get back into making music, but trackers and roll editors are reallyyyy hard for me to use

i need stuff in terms of like, half/quarter/eighth notes and stuff, and trackers/roll editors feel really intuitive to me

What I'd love is a DAW that can load multiple VST plugins and also has music staff support to control the various VST instruments

(a good MML-based DAW would also be cool, but I know that *definitely* doesnt exist :annoyed: )

I was on FL Studio and switched to lmms. I'm still experimenting with it.
This doesn't answer your request.

apparently you can "Write your music in a notation program then import the midi data into FL"

Let me know if that gets you anywhere. I am unsure which notation program you could use but I imagine there are a few available that can export to midi.
